Echocardiograms are vital for diagnosing heart conditions, utilizing advanced ultrasound technology to capture detailed images of the heart. At our cutting-edge facilities in Yarrabilba and Springwood, we offer this service with the highest standards of care. Our echocardiography machine ( E 95 ) delivers information about strain and GLS which are advanced cardiac imaging techniques for diagnosing early subclinical LV dysfunction.
At Yarrabilba Cardiology, we offer Stress Echocardiograms, a key test to assess how your heart functions under physical stress. This procedure combines echocardiography (ultrasound imaging of the heart) with exercise, usually by walking on a treadmill or cycling on a stationary bike. It helps evaluate your heart’s performance when working harder, which is important for diagnosing conditions like coronary artery disease. By measuring how well your heart functions during exercise, this test provides valuable insights into your heart’s health and capacity, guiding effective treatment decisions.
A Holter & Event Monitor is a portable device worn continuously(24hrs to 30 days) to record your heart’s electrical activity. To monitor rhythm of the heart to detect cardiac arrhythmia or various degree heart block in the group of patients who present palpitation, presyncope or syncope. It also helps to capture live signals of patient symptoms.
An Event Monitor is similar but is worn for a longer duration, typically a few weeks. Instead of continuously recording, it is activated by the patient when symptoms occur, such as dizziness, palpitations, or chest discomfort. Both monitors are non-invasive and provide valuable insights for diagnosing conditions such as atrial fibrillation, tachycardia, or bradycardia. We use advanced technology in monitoring our Patients.
