These non-invasive imaging tests provide detailed information about the coronary arteries. A CT coronary angiogram detects plaque build-up that can narrow or block arteries, and is commonly arranged for patients with symptoms such as chest pain or abnormal test results. A coronary calcium score measures calcium in the artery walls to estimate future cardiac risk, and is particularly useful for people with risk factors but no symptoms. Both tests are performed at a partner radiology centre and reported in conjunction with our cardiologists.

Not always. Your cardiologist can arrange further testing during your care where clinically appropriate. Note that Medicare places limits on how often some tests, such as echocardiograms and stress tests, can be rebated when requested by a GP.
Most diagnostics, including echocardiograms, Holter monitoring and ECGs, are performed on site at Yarrabilba or Springwood. CT coronary angiograms and calcium score tests are performed at a partner radiology centre and reported with our cardiologists.
Reports are sent to your referring GP promptly after your test is reviewed. Urgent or significant findings are communicated to your GP as a priority.
